Qatar Charity pledges $10 million to Global Islamic Fund for Refugees

Qatar Charity (QC) has announced a substantial pledge of USD 10 million to the Global Islamic Fund for Refugees (GIFR), underlining the significant impact of faith-based philanthropy in creating sustainable solutions for displaced communities. The announcement was made during the Plenary Session of the Global Refugee Forum Progress Review 2025 in Geneva.

QC emphasized that this financial commitment reaffirms its dedication to supporting the UNHCR in providing innovative and sustainable financial aid to those who have been displaced. As part of this contribution, QC will officially join the GIFR Steering Committee, a governance body of the UNHCR-Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). This committee is tasked with reviewing and approving grant-funding allocations for projects and programs across IsDB member countries.
