Doha, Qatar: Six educators and public schools have been honored in the 2025 Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance. This success highlights the ongoing development and excellence of the state's education system at both institutional and individual levels.
Established in 1998 in the United Arab Emirates, the award is a prestigious recognition in the education field, known for its high standards. It aims to support education quality, motivate outstanding personnel, nurture talent and innovation, and enhance institutional performance.
Qatar's participation this year saw triumphs in various categories. In the Distinguished Teacher category, Moza Saeed Al Muraikhi from Al Khwarizmi Primary School for Girls, Mohammed Ali Al Hail from Abdullah bin Ali Al Misnad Secondary School for Boys, and Ghaleb Saleh Shajaa from Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys were among the winners.
Inas Mahmoud Hassan from Rugayya Preparatory School for Girls won in the newly introduced Distinguished Educator category at the Gulf Cooperation Council level.
Furthermore, Al Khansa Primary School for Girls and Sumaya Primary School for Girls were recognized in the Distinguished School category.
These achievements reflect the collaborative efforts of schools, teachers, students, and their families, alongside institutional support for advanced educational practices. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education reiterates its commitment to advancing the education system and empowering talent, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030, which focuses on building a quality-driven and excellent educational framework.
