Riyadh:
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has reaffirmed the Kingdom’s firm stance
on respecting Iran’s sovereignty and rejecting the use of Saudi airspace or
territory for any military actions against Iran, regardless of the source or
direction. The position was conveyed during a phone call on Tuesday with
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
During
the call, the Crown Prince emphasized Saudi Arabia’s support for resolving
disputes through dialogue, underscoring the importance of diplomacy in
enhancing security and stability across the region. He reiterated the Kingdom’s
commitment to de-escalation and peaceful engagement as the foundation for
regional cooperation.
President Pezeshkian briefed the Crown Prince on recent developments in Iran, including efforts to address current challenges and the latest discussions related to the nuclear file. He expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s clear position on Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and praised the Crown Prince’s initiatives aimed at promoting regional security and stability.
