Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Environment and Climate
Change (MoECC) has confirmed that air quality levels across the country remain
within normal and safe limits, based on continuous monitoring through its
nationwide network of stations operating round the clock.
In a statement, the ministry advised the public to
take precautionary measures during periods of increased fine particulate
matter, particularly for vulnerable groups. Residents are encouraged to stay
indoors, keep windows closed, wear masks when outdoors, and limit prolonged
outdoor activities.
MoECC noted that the presence of these particles-mainly dust-is seasonal and temporary, largely caused by dry northern winds, and does not indicate any broader health risk to the public.
