Doha,
Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani honoured 11 winners
of the inaugural Rawda Award for Excellence in Social Work, recognising
innovative social initiatives across individual, family, non-profit, and
private sector categories.
The award operates under the Ministry of Social Development and Family
in partnership with Daam.
Individual category: The late Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa bin Ahmed
Al Thani received the Rawda Award for "War and Disability: Sport and
Peace." Dr. Buthaina bint Abdullah Al Abdulghani received the Excellence
Shield for "Care and Empowerment of Value-Based Initiatives."
Family category: The family of Saleh bin Majid Al Khulaifi won for
"Autism Parents Platform," while Fahad Abdulhadi Al Ahbabi received
the Excellence Shield for "Journey of Hope and Challenge."
Non-profit category: Winners included Qatar Cancer Society's
"Wayyakum Platform" and Education Above All Foundation's
"Together Project." Qatar Charity received the Excellence Shield, and
Wifaq received a certificate of appreciation.
Private sector category: Seashore Group won the Rawda Award,
Ooredoo received the Excellence Shield for the Doha Marathon, and Rafeeq Al
Darb Company received a certificate of appreciation.
The award underscores Qatar's commitment to strengthening social work as a pillar of national development.
