Qatar’s
Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) has confirmed that the country’s airspace
remains under full operational control despite ongoing regional tensions and
heightened safety risks. Acting President Mohammed bin Faleh Al-Hajri stated
that operations continue to meet the highest safety and efficiency standards,
supported by continuous risk assessment and strict monitoring.
He
noted that Qatar adopted a phased response, including a precautionary closure
followed by the partial reopening of airspace on March 7. Flights are currently
operating on a limited basis through designated air corridors, with priority
given to essential connectivity, evacuation missions, and cargo services to
ensure the steady flow of critical supplies.
QCAA has also implemented extensive safety and contingency measures, including enhanced coordination with military authorities, advanced tracking systems, strict flight approvals, and emergency response plans across all aviation sectors. Authorities continue to monitor developments round-the-clock, reaffirming that the safety and security of civil aviation remain the top priority
