Doha: The Ministry of Municipality has opened Al Mashmoum Park in Al Wakra, adding a new family-friendly recreational and green space for residents in the area.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sada, Director of the Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality, said the neighbourhood park covers around 4,300 square metres and has been developed to meet the recreational needs of the local community.
The park features sports facilities, walking and running tracks, restrooms and a dedicated children’s play area. Around 2,400 square metres have been allocated for landscaping and agricultural works, with 68 trees planted across the site. Jasmine is also among the plants cultivated at the park.
The opening is part of the Ministry’s efforts to expand green spaces and develop parks across residential areas, supporting urban beautification, environmental sustainability and an improved quality of life in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
