Doha, Qatar: The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Her Excellency Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater, has issued Decision No. (14) of 2026, marking a significant advancement in Qatar's educational landscape. The decision involves the opening of six new government schools and the appointment and transfer of a number of school principals, as part of the Ministry's strategic preparations for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The new schools include the Qatar Science and Technology Preparatory and Secondary School for Boys in Al Sakhama, Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Girls in Rawdat Al Hamama, Ain Khaled Secondary School for Boys, Doha Preparatory School for Girls, Al Thakhira Primary School for Boys, and Muaither Primary School for Boys.
Additionally, the decision involves the appointment of 17 male and female principals and the transfer of another 17 principals across various government schools. These changes aim to enhance the efficiency of school administration and prepare the education sector for the upcoming academic year.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry's commitment to fostering a high-quality educational environment, developing educational capacities and leadership, and supporting Qatar's growth and evolving educational needs. It also contributes to achieving the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 by investing in education and human capabilities, crucial for the State of Qatar's sustainable development.
