Qatar marked World Humanitarian Day on August 19 by illuminating prominent national institutions and landmarks in red, highlighting the country’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian action and solidarity.
The
Ministry of Interior, Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Public Works
Authority (Ashghal) and Ministry of Public Health joined the observance. The
Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya illuminated their main buildings, while
Ashghal lit up the Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor in red.
Observed annually on August 19, World Humanitarian Day recognises the dedication of humanitarian workers who save lives, alleviate suffering and support communities affected by conflicts, disasters and other crises.
