Doha: The foreign ministers of the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Lebanon Republic, Malaysia, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the State of Palestine, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Federal Republic of Somalia, and the Republic of Turkiye strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes targeting Abu Al Duhur Military Airport in northwestern Syria.

The ministers affirmed that these attacks constitute a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic.

The ministers expressed their grave concern over the continued targeting of Syrian territory and infrastructure and the damage inflicted upon them. They stressed that these actions directly risk undermining Syria's efforts to restore security, rebuild national institutions and address the humanitarian consequences resulting from years of prolonged conflict.

The ministers further affirmed that the continued Israeli violations of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity risk increasing tensions, undermining regional peace and stability, and eroding respect for international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

They called on the international community to adopt a firm, clear and principled position against the ongoing aggression against Syria and to take concrete steps, in accordance with international law and the UN Charter, to put an end to these violations, ensure full respect for the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, and secure the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the areas they have occupied, in a manner that prevents further escalation and safeguards regional peace and stability.

The ministers stressed the need to respect Syria's sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity and reaffirmed their rejection of any attempt to undermine them. (QNA)
