Amir patronizes graduation of third batch of naval Cadets at Mohammed Bin Ghanem Naval Academy

Doha, Qatar: The Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, graced the graduation ceremony of the third batch of cadets from Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Naval Academy on Tuesday morning. The event took place at the Academy’s headquarters in Al-Shamal and was marked by a grand display of military excellence and tradition.


The ceremony witnessed the presence of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, Ministers, and distinguished guests, including the Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, alongside high-ranking leaders from security and military colleges. Heads of diplomatic missions, military attachés accredited to Qatar, senior officers from the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Amiri Guard, State Security, and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) were also in attendance.


The event commenced with the national anthem, followed by an inspection of the graduates’ queue by HH the Amir. This batch comprised 69 graduates from Qatar and Somalia. The ceremony proceeded with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, a march by the graduates, and a military parade.


His Highness honored the outstanding graduates, and the flag was ceremonially handed over from the third batch to the fourth batch. The appointment orders were read aloud, and the graduates exited in an organized procession.


The ceremony concluded with the cadets of the third batch taking their oath and singing the Academy's anthem, marking their official entry into service.


The event celebrated the commitment and achievements of the cadets while reinforcing the strong military partnership between Qatar and Somalia.
