The
League of Arab States, Syria, Lebanon and the Muslim World League have
condemned attacks carried out by the Houthi group on King Fahd International
Airport and the Shaybah oil field in Saudi Arabia, which reportedly resulted in
casualties, injuries and material damage. They expressed solidarity with the
Kingdom and reaffirmed their support for its security, stability and
sovereignty.
The
Arab League strongly rejected the continued attacks on Saudi territory, warning
that targeting airports, oil facilities and civilian infrastructure threatens
civil aviation safety and energy security. It also said the attacks undermine
regional and international efforts to ease tensions and achieve a political
settlement to the Yemeni crisis.
The
Muslim World League condemned the attacks as violations of religious values and
international and humanitarian laws. Syria and Lebanon also denounced the
targeting of King Fahd International Airport, stressing that attacks on civilians
and vital facilities violate international law and threaten regional stability.
Both countries reaffirmed their full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and rejected
any aggression against its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Spain also condemned the attacks on strategic civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, calling for an immediate halt to hostilities, de-escalation and respect for international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter. The statements reflect growing international concern over threats to civilian safety and critical infrastructure in the region. (QNA)
