Riyadh: Four people, including two women, a
man, and a child, were injured after debris from two intercepted Houthi cruise
missiles fell on residential areas in Riyadh, causing minor damage to 15 homes,
Saudi Civil Defence has announced.
The Civil Defence spokesman said the incident
occurred on Tuesday, October 13, after air defences intercepted and destroyed
two cruise missiles launched by the Houthi militia toward the Saudi capital.
Fragments from the intercepted missiles fell in residential neighbourhoods,
injuring four people and causing limited material damage to 15 houses.
The spokesman confirmed that relevant authorities had implemented established emergency procedures for such incidents. The announcement comes amid continued Houthi missile and drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, including recent interceptions over Riyadh and the Eastern Province.
