Doha: The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has urged citizens and residents across Qatar to take the necessary precautions to protect their homes and facilities ahead of the upcoming rainy season, helping prevent potential damage and costly repairs.

In a social media post, the authority outlined several safety measures residents should follow before rainfall, including checking that seals around glass ceilings and windows are secure, clearing debris from drains near their homes to prevent flooding, inspecting roof insulation, and checking gutters for leaks or blockages.

Ashghal encouraged residents to prepare their properties in advance and address any maintenance issues to minimise the risk of water damage and ensure greater safety during the rainy season.
