Doha: Brilliant Indian International School (BIIS) celebrated the excitement of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 by organizing a vibrant Jersey Day and Bagless Day on June 25, turning the campus into a lively celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and experiential learning. Students and staff arrived wearing their favourite football jerseys, creating a festive atmosphere inspired by the global football tournament.
Students
across different grade levels participated in a variety of age-appropriate
football-themed activities. Grades 1 and 2 enjoyed interactive games such as Goal
Celebration Freeze and FIFA Player Says, while Grades 3 and 4 took
part in the Guess the Team Quiz and Pass the Ball Game. Students
in Grades 5 and 6 demonstrated their coordination and teamwork through
skill-based challenges including Pass the Invisible Ball and Sole
Control Drill.
The
Bagless Day celebrations added another layer of excitement with engaging
activities such as Pick the Bottle, Musical Chairs, Memory
Tray Game, and Detective Challenge, encouraging observation,
concentration, critical thinking, and collaboration in a fun-filled
environment.
One
of the major highlights of the celebration was the colourful Jersey Parade, where students proudly
showcased jerseys of their favourite football teams, symbolizing unity,
diversity, and their shared love for the game. Academic, administrative, and
support staff also joined the festivities by participating in a friendly
penalty shootout competition and other recreational games, making the event a
memorable celebration of the FIFA spirit across the entire school community.
