Doha: The Ministry of
Labour has warned the public against responding to requests to transfer money
to personal bank accounts under the pretext of providing services or expediting
procedures.
In a social media statement, the
ministry stressed that all fees and payments related to its services are
processed through official approved channels ending in mol.gov.qa. The ministry also urged the public not
to share banking or personal information with any unofficial entity, and
advised users to verify the authenticity of any links they receive before
clicking on them.
The ministry further warned against sharing verification codes, one-time passwords, or account passwords with anyone. In cases of suspected fraud, the public is urged to end the call immediately and contact the ministry's hotline at 16505 or submit enquiries via email at info@mol.gov.qa.
