Doha: The CBSE Qatar Cluster Skating Championship 2026–27, organised by The Scholars’ International School, Doha, was successfully held on October 7 and 8 at Brilliant Indian International School, Duhail, bringing together talented young skaters from 15 CBSE schools across Qatar.
The two-day championship was inaugurated by Ms. Biby C. Mytheen, Principal of The Scholars’ International School, who formally declared the event open with the ceremonial hoisting of the school flag. The competition featured boys and girls in the Under-9, Under-11, Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories, with participants showcasing their skating skills, determination and sporting spirit.
Podar Pearl School, Qatar, emerged as the overall champions, securing the title through outstanding performances across various categories. The prizes were distributed by Ms. Biby C. Mytheen and Mr. Abdul Aziz U., Principal of Brilliant Indian International School, in recognition of the participants’ achievements and dedication.
The championship provided a valuable platform for young skaters to demonstrate their abilities and compete at the cluster level. Students selected through the competition will represent the CBSE Qatar Cluster at the CBSE National Sports and Games 2026–27, scheduled to be held in India, taking their sporting journey to the national stage.
