Doha: M.E.S. Indian School is celebrating a double triumph at the CBSE National Badminton Championship 2026, held in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, from September 28 to October 6, 2026.

Anushree Shine of Class XI delivered a stellar performance in the U-17 Girls' Individual Event, clinching the Gold Medal and emerging as National Champion. Her skill, determination, and fighting spirit earned the highest honour for M.E.S. Indian School, placing its sporting excellence firmly on the national stage. This achievement has also earned Anushree a prestigious qualification for the SGFI (School Games Federation of India) Nationals.

Adding to the glory, the U-17 Girls' Team,
comprising Anushree Shine and Syed Rabiyama Zafar, both Class XI students,
secured a Bronze Medal in the Team Event, underscoring the depth of talent at
M.E.S. The athletes were guided and coached by Ms. Gigi P. Abraham, whose
dedicated training and mentorship contributed significantly to the achievement.
The school management, principal, staff, and
students extended their heartfelt congratulations to Anushree Shine, Syed
Rabiyama Zafar, and Ms. Gigi P. Abraham on this outstanding feat, a testament
to their discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of
excellence.
