Doha: The Center for Indian Community (CIC) Qatar has expressed profound grief over the passing of Father Amir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, paying tribute to the visionary leader whose leadership transformed Qatar into one of the world's most progressive and influential nations.
In a condolence message, CIC Qatar described the Father Amir as the architect of modern Qatar, stating that his visionary and determined leadership laid the foundation for the country's remarkable achievements across education, healthcare, the economy, infrastructure, media, and sports. His legacy, the organisation said, will continue to inspire generations to come.
The organisation also expressed deep appreciation for the Father Amir's unwavering support for the Indian diaspora in Qatar. It noted that his warm and inclusive approach towards the Indian community fostered a strong sense of belonging and significantly contributed to the welfare and growth of expatriates living in the country.
CIC Qatar further highlighted that the Father Amir's leadership played a vital role in strengthening the longstanding friendship and strategic relationship between Qatar and India, creating closer people-to-people ties and expanding cooperation between the two nations.
On behalf of its members, CIC Qatar extended its heartfelt condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, the Royal Family, and the people of Qatar during this period of national mourning. The organisation prayed that Almighty Allah grant the late Father Amir the highest place in Paradise and bless his family and the people of Qatar with patience, strength, and peace.
