Washington: Eight children aged between one and 14 were killed and two others injured in a tragic shooting incident in Shreveport, Louisiana, according to police authorities. Officials stated that the violence stemmed from a domestic disturbance, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Police
reported that a single gunman opened fire on a group of 10 people before
fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle. Law enforcement later tracked down the
suspect, who was shot dead following a pursuit.
Describing
the scale of the incident, Shreveport police spokesperson Chris Bordelon said
it was a “very large scene” involving multiple casualties. He added that the
crime scene extended across three separate locations, calling it an
unprecedented and deeply distressing situation for investigators.
