The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) announced yesterday that it has received nominations from 27 National Olympic Committees supporting H.E. Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani for the position of OCA President for the term 2027-2035. The current OCA President expressed gratitude to the NOCs for their trust and confidence in his leadership.
The deadline for nominations from the OCA's 45 member National Olympic Committees closed on June 30, 2026, at 5 p.m. Kuwait time, with no other nominations received for the presidency. The next OCA General Assembly is scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar, on January 27, 2027.
