New Delhi: The Government of India has launched AIR SUVIDHA 2.0, a fully digital and contactless health declaration system for international passengers, as part of enhanced airport health surveillance following the Ebola outbreak in parts of Africa.
The
upgraded platform requires travellers arriving from designated high-risk
regions to submit a mandatory online Health
Self-Declaration Form (SDF) up to 24 hours before arrival in India. The declaration includes details
of the passenger's 21-day travel
history, exposure history, and any Ebola-related symptoms.
Developed
by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in collaboration with the Directorate General
of Health Services (DGHS) and Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the
system enables real-time sharing of passenger information with health and
immigration authorities for faster risk assessment, monitoring, and public
health response.
Passengers
are advised to complete the declaration before boarding or during web check-in
and carry a digital or printed copy of the submitted form for verification, if
required. The official AIR SUVIDHA 2.0 portal is available at: https://airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in
