Doha: Indian expatriates in Qatar will now be able to receive passports and other consular documents directly at their homes following a new agreement signed between the Embassy of India and Qatar Post. The initiative, launched through the Qatar Post Premium (QPP) service, aims to make consular services more convenient and accessible for the Indian community residing in Qatar. The agreement signing ceremony was attended by Qatar Post Chief Executive Officer Hassan Jassim Al Sayed and Indian Ambassador to Qatar HE Vipul.

Under the new service, passports and other consular documents issued by the Indian Embassy will be securely delivered to applicants’ registered addresses through Qatar Post. The service is expected to save time for applicants by eliminating the need to personally visit the embassy for document collection. The delivery process will include secure tracking facilities to ensure the safe and reliable handling of documents from dispatch to final delivery.

Officials said
the collaboration reflects the shared commitment of Qatar Post and the Indian
Embassy to enhancing customer experience and improving public services for the
large Indian expatriate community in Qatar. Qatar Post stated that the
initiative will provide a smooth, efficient and dependable document delivery
experience, making consular procedures easier and more user-friendly for
residents across the country.
