Doha:
The Indian Media Forum (IMF), a collective of Indian journalists in Qatar,
organized a vibrant family reunion that brought together members and their
families for an evening of warmth, camaraderie, and shared memories. The
gathering reflected the strong bond within the expatriate media community,
turning the event into a memorable celebration of togetherness.
The
event, held at Zaitoon Restaurant on Salwa Road, also featured a special
felicitation for IMF former member and ex-staff reporter of Gulf Times, Shafeeq
Alingal, who recently retired from journalism. Colleagues and friends fondly
recalled his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the media
landscape in Qatar, honoring his long-standing commitment to the profession.
IMF President
O.K. Parumala presided over the function. Vice President Sadiq Chennadan,
Treasurer RJ Ratheesh, Executive Member Ahmed Kutty Aralayail, Abbas Muhammed,
RJ Appunni, RJ Nisa, Mushtaq Alavi, Amanulla Vadakangara, and PVA Nassar
extended their greetings. General Secretary Shafeeq Arakkal delivered the
welcome address, while Asif proposed the vote of thanks, marking a successful
and heartfelt gathering.
