Doha,
Qatar: The 35th Doha International Book Fair is set to be a landmark cultural
event, featuring the participation of more than 500 publishing houses from 63
countries. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, this year's exhibition will
run from May 14 to May 23, 2026, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center
(DECC).
The
fair will showcase a vast collection of literary works, with over 180,000 new
titles being introduced to the public for the first time. Under the slogan
"Knowledge Builds Civilizations," the event aims to foster a culture
of reading and intellectual exchange, offering a diverse array of books across
various genres and languages.
In addition to the extensive book displays, the fair will host a vibrant cultural program including seminars, workshops, and poetry evenings. A dedicated "Children’s Oasis" will provide interactive educational activities, while the Sultanate of Oman will be featured as the Guest of Honor, showcasing its rich literary heritage through a special pavilion.
