Doha, Qatar: The
Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) has announced a high-end online auction for
luxury watches, set to take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. The event will be hosted
through the "Court Mazadat" mobile application, allowing interested
buyers to participate digitally in a specialized sale of confiscated assets and
judicial items.
The auction
features an array of prestigious global brands, including Patek Philippe,
Richard Mille, Hublot, and Hermès. Bidding is expected to be
competitive, with starting prices for entry-level luxury pieces beginning at
QR3,000, while top-tier collector items are valued with starting bids as high
as QR550,000. The session is scheduled to run for three
hours, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
To participate, users must register on the Court Mazadat app using a valid Qatar ID and a local mobile number. The registration process requires a refundable security deposit of QR5,000. Successful bidders are required to settle payments within 24 hours for items under QR100,000, while a 48-hour window is provided for higher-value purchases. This digital initiative reflects the council's ongoing efforts to streamline judicial procedures and enhance institutional transparency through technology.
