Doha: The Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) organized a special educational and health awareness session titled “Remote Parenting and Mental Awareness” in association with the CIGI Qatar Chapter. The event was held at the Gulf Contracting Company accommodation premises in Barwa Al Baraha, drawing a strong audience from various Indian states and highlighting key issues faced by expatriate families.

The
session featured expert presentations by CIGI resource persons including MI
Khaleel, Clinical Psychologist at Hamad Medical Corporation, psychology trainer
Mohd Junaid, and health and safety trainer and behavioral coach Abdul Rasheed.
The speakers addressed important topics such as mental health, career
challenges, family dynamics, and effective parenting strategies. Special focus
was given to remote parenting, strengthening family bonds, children’s emotional
well-being, career planning, and vocational guidance.
Dr.
Eish Singhal, First Secretary (Labour & Community Welfare, Visa and OCI)
and Coordinating Officer of ICBF, attended the event as the chief guest. The
programme began with a welcome address by General Secretary Deepak Shetty,
followed by a presidential address by ICBF President Shanavas Bava. MC member
and Head of Labour Welfare Shankar Gaud introduced the guest speakers, while
Secretary Jafar Thayyil delivered the vote of thanks. Certificates were
presented to Gulf Contracting Company representatives by Dr. Eish Singhal and
President Shanavas Bava.
The
event also saw the presence of Embassy official Aradhana Tripadi, CIGI Vice
Chairman Issuddin, and community members including Mohd Fazal, Yousaf
Vannarath, Abdul Gafoor, and Abdul Samad Kadameri. The programme was
coordinated by Vice President Rasheed Ahmed and MC member Mani Bharathi,
reflecting ICBF’s continued commitment to supporting the well-being and
development of the Indian expatriate community in Qatar.
