Geneva: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that Iran is open to resuming diplomatic engagement, but only after hostilities against the country are halted and those responsible for the recent attacks are held accountable. Speaking to reporters following discussions in Geneva, Araghchi emphasized that Tehran would consider diplomacy "once the aggression is stopped" and once justice is pursued for what he described as “heinous crimes” committed by the aggressors.
Reaffirming Iran’s stance on its nuclear programme, Araghchi stressed that it remains entirely peaceful and any attacks targeting it constitute a breach of international law. He asserted that Iran would continue to uphold its “legitimate right of self-defence” and made clear that the nation’s defensive capabilities are not open for negotiation. “I make it crystal clear that Iran's defence capabilities are non-negotiable,” he declared
