Doha: The Qatar
General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has issued safety
guidelines for residents during rainfall to prevent electrical hazards.
To prevent electrical hazards during rainfall, Kahramaa advises residents to avoid touching or operating any electrical devices with wet hands and to ensure that outdoor lighting and electrical panels remain secure and undamaged.
It is critical to stay away from outdoor light poles and tall, isolated trees, while also ensuring that any device that falls into water is immediately disconnected from the power supply. Additionally, appliances should be unplugged during sudden power outages, and residents are encouraged to maintain regular checks on electrical connections and water pumps.
For any electrical emergencies, the Kahramaa call center remains available at 991.
