Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry have recommended that private sector companies maintain remote work arrangements on Monday, March 2, 2026, wherever job roles allow.
In
a joint statement, the ministries said the move is aimed at safeguarding public
safety and ensuring business continuity under the current circumstances. Work
activities that require physical presence, as well as essential service sectors
such as retail outlets and restaurants, are exempt provided approved safety
measures are followed.
Authorities
reiterated that community safety remains a top priority and urged employers and
employees to continue full cooperation during this period.
