Agra: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited the Taj Mahal on Monday with his wife Jeanette Rubio and US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, taking a short break from diplomatic meetings ahead of the Quad Foreign Ministers' Meeting in New Delhi.

Rubio signed the visitors' book, calling the monument "one of the true treasures of the world."

The visit followed a busy weekend in New Delhi where he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and NSA Ajit Doval, and delivered an invitation from President Trump for Modi to visit the White House later this year.

Rubio returns to New Delhi on Tuesday for the Quad meeting with foreign ministers from Australia and Japan to discuss maritime security, AI supply chains, and regional stability.
