Doha: The Ministry of Municipality has introduced a modern fleet of environmentally friendly vehicles and equipment, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and enhancing the efficiency of municipal services across the country. The initiative is aimed at improving operational performance while supporting Qatar’s environmental goals.

Undersecretary for Public Services Affairs Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Karani stated
that the move reflects the ministry’s dedication to adopting best environmental
practices, noting its impact on improving field operations and air quality.
Director of Mechanical Equipment Sherida Sultan Al Rumaihi added that the fleet
marks a significant advancement in operational capabilities, with vehicles
selected based on the highest technical and environmental standards.
The newly launched fleet operates with advanced “Euro 6” engines, known for meeting top global environmental benchmarks by reducing emissions, improving fuel efficiency, and lowering noise levels. It includes a variety of specialized vehicles such as ambulances, refrigerated units, street washing and garbage collection trucks, container carriers, street sweepers, and beach cleaning tractors - all contributing to improved public cleanliness and sustainable urban development.
