The NASA has released the first photographs captured by astronauts aboard the Artemis II during their historic fly-by of the Moon, offering a rare glimpse of celestial phenomena from deep space.

One of the images shows a breathtaking “Earthrise,” with the blue planet emerging above the Moon’s rugged, cratered horizon. Another photograph captures a dramatic solar eclipse, as the Moon passes directly between the Sun and the spacecraft, briefly blocking sunlight and creating a striking visual spectacle.

NASA has not disclosed which of the astronauts took the images. The crew is currently on their return journey to Earth following the successful lunar fly-by, marking a significant milestone in the agency’s efforts to advance human exploration beyond low Earth orbit.
