Trump warns Iran: “48 hours left” to open Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump has warned that Iran has just 48 hours to agree to a deal on opening the vital Strait of Hormuz, or face severe consequences. In a post on Truth Social, Trump referred to his earlier ultimatum issued on March 26, stating that “time is running out” and warning that “all Hell will reign down” if no agreement is reached.

The remarks come as tensions remain high, with no official response from the administration regarding reports of a US fighter jet allegedly shot down in Iran. Trump made the statement while at the White House on Saturday, adding a religious note to his warning with “Glory be to GOD!”

In a separate post highlighting economic gains from tariffs, Trump also reiterated his stance against Iran’s nuclear ambitions, declaring efforts toward “getting rid of a Nuclear Iran,” and ending his message with “MAGA!!!”
