The National Testing Agency (NTA) has terminated 47 officials in a significant restructuring effort following a series of examination controversies, including the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, sources revealed on Friday.
The decision comes as student protests persist at Jantar Mantar, calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged NEET irregularities.
In addition to the terminations, legal and criminal proceedings may be pursued against certain officials based on internal investigations and inputs from investigating agencies. The NTA has not yet released details regarding the names, ranks, or specific reasons for the dismissals.
