Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Interior (MoI) has confirmed that security authorities and Civil Defense teams immediately activated approved emergency response plans following the Iranian attack that targeted the country on Friday morning. The ministry said all relevant agencies responded swiftly as part of ongoing efforts to monitor developments and safeguard public safety.
According
to the ministry, field reports confirmed that one child sustained injuries after being struck by falling shrapnel
resulting from interception operations. The injured child is currently
receiving the necessary medical treatment, and authorities continue to assess
the situation on the ground.
The
Ministry of Interior urged the public to rely exclusively on official sources
for information and warned against spreading rumours or publishing unverified
news, photographs, or video clips. It stressed that the circulation of false or
unconfirmed information could result in legal accountability.
The ministry further affirmed that all competent security authorities remain on high alert and continue to operate around the clock to ensure a rapid response to any developments. It added that efforts are focused on maintaining public safety, preserving community security, and ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of essential services across the country.
