Doha:
Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin
Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani will arrive in Tehran today, Thursday, for
talks with senior Iranian officials on efforts to de-escalate regional tensions
and create conditions conducive to dialogue.

to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs Dr Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari said the visit reflects Qatar’s firm
position that diplomacy remains the best means of resolving differences and
promoting security and stability in the region.
The
talks are also expected to address freedom of navigation in the Strait of
Hormuz. Qatar has stressed the importance of restoring navigation conditions to
the status quo that existed before February 28, as part of efforts to reduce
tensions and support regional stability
