Doha, Qatar: Nine senior executives from Qatar-based companies have been included in CNBC Arabia’s Top 100 Leaders for the Gulf and Egypt 2026, a curated and non-ranked list recognising influential business figures making a significant impact across the MENA region.
The Qatar-based leaders featured are Abdulla Mubarak Al-Khalifa, Group CEO of Qatar National Bank; Bassel Gamal, Group CEO of Qatar Islamic Bank; Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo, Group CEO of Ooredoo; Sheikh Hamad Abdulla Jassim Al-Thani, CEO of Vodafone Qatar; Eng. Abdullah Fadhalah Al Sulaiti, CEO of Qatar Gas Transport Company; Dr. Abdulbasit Ahmad Al Shaibei, CEO of Qatar International Islamic Bank; Eng. Ahmad Mohamed Al-Tayeb, Group CEO of Barwa Real Estate; Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Thani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Aamal Company; and Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi, Group CEO of Lesha Bank.
Covering seven markets and 11 sectors, including energy, banking, real estate, telecommunications and FinTech, the list evaluated leaders based on financial performance, market impact, innovation, governance and resilience. CNBC Arabia said eligible executives must have led a company headquartered in, or with significant operations across, the MENA region for at least one year, adding that the list recognises leaders creating sustainable economic value rather than ranking them from best to worst.
