Doha: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has announced that products made by inmates at the Penal and Correctional Institutions Department will be available for purchase through the Ministry's Sooum application starting Sunday, July 19, 2026.
In a statement shared on its official social media platforms, the MOI said the initiative enables the public to purchase inmate-produced items directly through the Sooum app, expanding access to products created under the department's rehabilitation and vocational training programmes.
The Ministry stated that sales of the inmates' products will officially commence on Sunday, July 19, 2026, through the MOI's Sooum application. The initiative reflects the department's ongoing efforts to support inmate rehabilitation by encouraging vocational skills development and productive engagement.
