Doha: The 12th Qatar Patient Safety Week will begin on Thursday under the slogan "Safe Care for Life," bringing together healthcare professionals, institutions, and stakeholders to promote patient safety practices across the country.

The annual observance coincides with World Patient Safety Day, observed on September 17, and highlights the importance of safe and continuous care for patients. This year's edition is expected to focus on noncommunicable diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and chronic respiratory conditions that require long-term management.

Healthcare facilities across Qatar will host a series of awareness activities, workshops, and educational events throughout the week. The initiative aligns with national efforts to enhance healthcare quality and safety standards in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
