Qatar won a gold and a silver on Tuesday at the third edition of the Gulf Beach Games, which is now being held in Muscat, Oman. Running until Friday, the competition features over 300 athletes from six Gulf nations.
On Tuesday, Qatari equestrian Ali Hamad Al Athba won the gold medal in the individual lance competition in the Tent Pegging discipline.
Moreover, Qatari high jumper Hamdi Ali achieved silver medal in the high jump event with a height of 1.96 meters.
Qatar has a delegation of 18 athletes participating in the Gulf Beach Games, competing in five disciplines such as beach volleyball, athletics, sailing, open-water swimming, and equestrian Tent Pegging.
