Samrat Choudhary has been named the
new Chief Minister of Bihar, marking the first time the Bharatiya Janata Party
will lead the state government. The swearing-in ceremony is expected to take
place tomorrow, with Narendra Modi likely to attend.
Outgoing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar resigned earlier in the day and expressed his support for the new government, stating that it will have his full cooperation and guidance.

Choudhary, a senior BJP leader and former deputy to Nitish Kumar, belongs to the influential Kushwaha community and has had a long political journey across multiple parties before joining the BJP in 2017.
