On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to every Indian living and working in Qatar. This is a day to remember with gratitude those who sacrificed for our freedom and to recognise the countless Indians who, far from their families and homeland, work with dedication and perseverance to build a better future for their loved ones. Their efforts, often made quietly and with great personal sacrifice, deserve our respect and appreciation.

As we celebrate our freedom, let us also remember that the true spirit of Independence lies in caring for one another and ensuring that no member of our community feels alone during difficult times. A helping hand, a compassionate word or timely support can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Let us strengthen the bonds that unite our community in Qatar and continue to stand together with dignity, kindness and humanity.
