This comes amid an ongoing stalemate in U.S. and Iranian peace talks. Six commodity ships transited the strait on Monday, evenly split between those entering and exiting the Gulf, as reported by Kpler shiptracking data.

This figure falls below the 10-day average of 11 ships. Over the weekend, three ships passed through the strait on Saturday, while only two moved through on Sunday.
