Doha: Qatar's much-awaited Local Dates Festival 2026 will return to Souq Waqif from July 25 to August 10, bringing together local farmers, premium date varieties, and traditional heritage experiences in a vibrant family-friendly setting. Organised to promote locally grown agricultural products, the festival will provide visitors with the opportunity to purchase fresh, high-quality dates directly from Qatari farmers while showcasing the country's rich agricultural traditions. The annual event also serves as a platform to support local producers and encourage the consumption of homegrown products. The festival will be held at the Eastern Square of Souq Waqif and will be open Sunday to Thursday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00pm to 10:00pm, allowing visitors ample time to explore the displays and enjoy the seasonal market atmosphere. Residents and visitors are invited to experience one of Qatar's popular seasonal heritage events, offering an authentic taste of the country's farming culture through a wide selection of locally produced dates and traditional hospitality.
