Amreesh Fathima crowned Malayali Manka Season 2 in a grand Radio Suno finale in Doha


Doha: Qatar’s favourite Malayalam radio station, Radio Suno 91.7 FM – Qatar’s Happiness Frequency, a pioneer in curating innovative cultural platforms for the expatriate community, has successfully concluded Season 2 of its flagship event, Malayali Manka. Celebrating the elegance, talent and cultural richness of Malayali women in Qatar, the prestigious competition reached its high point at a grand finale where Amreesh Fathima was crowned the winner.


The journey to the crown was highly competitive, with over 200 aspirants participating in the initial audition rounds. From this large pool, 15 finalists were shortlisted to compete on the grand stage. The finale featured two intense rounds, during which the contestants showcased their grace, confidence, communication skills and intellect. In the lead-up to the finale, the Radio Suno team conducted professional grooming and mentoring sessions, focusing on personality development, public speaking and self-confidence, enabling each participant to present the best version of herself.


The winners were selected by a distinguished panel of celebrity judges, comprising renowned actor and the first Miss Kerala director Sijoy Varghese, actor Hari Prashanth Varma, and actress Urooj Khan, the titleholder of Asia Pacific Intercontinental 2018. Following detailed evaluation, Amreesh Fathima emerged as the winner of Season 2, while Neethu Paul secured the first runners-up position and Krishnendu was declared the second runners-up.

Several subtitle awards were also presented to honour individual strengths and standout qualities. Assenshia won the Popular Manka title through public voting, while Krishnendu received the Best Voice award. Other titles included Best Smile (Amreesh Fathima), Miss Congeniality (Romia), Photogenic (Neha), Best Hair (Drishya), and Best Walk (Reema), adding further colour and recognition to the vibrant evening.

The event once again highlighted the dynamic spirit of the Malayali community in Qatar and reaffirmed Radio Suno’s commitment to nurturing local talent.
