Doha, Qatar: Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, through the Mosques Administration, has officially opened the Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Shamsan Al Sada Mosque in the Al Ruwais area.
This new mosque, which can accommodate up to 988 worshippers, including women, was announced in a statement made by the ministry on Wednesday. Situated on a spacious plot of 8,462 square meters, the mosque also features residences for both the imam and the muezzin.
The mosque has a large main prayer hall that accommodates 939 worshippers, alongside a dedicated women’s prayer hall with a capacity of 49. Additionally, it includes a well-equipped ablution area, ample public parking-some of which is designated for individuals with disabilities-and organized entry and exit points. A prominent minaret further adorns the mosque, enhancing its presence in the community.
