Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has
announced the working hours for government healthcare services during the
upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holiday, confirming that essential medical services will
continue across the country. Emergency departments and inpatient services at
hospitals operated by Hamad Medical Corporation, including Pediatric Emergency
Centers, will remain open 24 hours a day, while ambulance services will also
operate round the clock.
The Qatar National Blood Donation Center will
receive donors during the remaining days of Ramadan in two shifts - 8am to 1pm
and 6pm to midnight. The center will not receive donors on the first day of Eid
and on Friday, and will resume operations from Saturday to Monday between 9am
and 9pm.
According to the ministry, 21 health centres
operated by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will remain open during
the Eid holiday, while 14 centres will provide emergency medical services,
including eight facilities dedicated to urgent pediatric care for children.
Meanwhile, several MoPH service departments will
operate with limited hours. The Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad
Department will receive visitors from 9am to 12pm, while the Newborn
Registration Office at the Women’s Health and Research Center and the Death
Registration Unit at the Unified Humanitarian Services Office will operate from
8am to 12pm during the Eid holiday, except on the first day of Eid and on
Fridays and Saturdays. The Unified Healthcare Sector Contact Center (16000)
will remain available 24 hours a day to assist the public.
