Doha: Qatar General Electricity and Water
Corporation (Kahramaa) has advised motorists not to park their vehicles near
electricity transmission and distribution stations across the country.
The authority said keeping these areas clear is
important for safety and for the uninterrupted operation of electricity
services. Vehicles parked close to these facilities can block access for
maintenance teams and emergency workers.
Officials explained that technical teams must be
able to reach the stations quickly in case of power failures or other technical
issues. Any obstruction near the facilities could delay repair work and affect
electricity supply.
Kahramaa also noted that high-voltage equipment
around these stations can pose safety risks if people or vehicles remain too
close.
Drivers have been asked to follow warning signs
placed near such facilities and avoid parking in restricted zones to help
maintain safety and smooth service operations.
