Doha, Qatar: February will be the last month of the winter season in the State of Qatar and is considered the second coldest month of the year after January, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department’s monthly weather brief.
The
department said the daily mean temperature during February is expected to be
around 18.6°C. Climate records show that the lowest temperature recorded in the
month was 5.0°C in 1967, while the highest reached 36.5°C in 2002.
Unstable
weather conditions are also expected at times, as the leading edges of frontal
systems may cause thunderstorm activity, mainly during nighttime hours.
February
typically records the highest average rainfall among winter months, with an
average of 13.9mm. Northwesterly winds are expected to prevail across the
country during the month
